Through two or more of the following roles, General Marketing, Product Management, Product Development, and/or e-Business. Utilize market research data to identify, analyze and evaluate potential markets, products or services for the Company to enter. Assist in developing new or enhanced products for targeted lines of business, industry segments or specialty lines. Develop and execute strategic plans for entry into new markets or development and introduction of new products and services. Analyze competitor pricing data to gain insights into pricing strategies and tactics. Develop competitive pricing strategies for assigned products to achieve target levels of profitability. Conduct appropriate analysis to measure price elasticity under various business and market scenarios. Develop thorough knowledge of testing and control methods. Recommend changes to marketing strategy based upon interpretation of testing and control results. Work with cross-functional departments, external vendors and campaign teams to develop and execute marketing communication plans to support key loyalty and rewards marketing and campaign strategiesMaintain regular contact with vendors /agencies and Purchasing to ensure cost efficiencies, dependability, security of information and scheduling flexibility. Manage and analyze costs for each program. Assist with invoice tracking to ensure proper and timely bills are processing. Reconcile expenses with operating plan and budget. Complete other responsibilities, as assigned. Identify, compile and analyze business information and marketing data in planning, business development and implementing new and enhanced marketing programs. Develop and implement marketing programs and strategies designed to grow product lines and maximize economic profit. Build forecasting models that link volume and profitability to marketing mix, competitive environment and industry dynamics. Independently assigned to multiple low to medium complexity projects. Complete quality assurance audits for each marketing strategy, including validation of data output from internal and external sources, segmentation criteria, and review of marketing materials prior to program/campaign launch. Travel may be required. Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues. Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand. Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. Regularly required to work on multiple marketing campaigns, promotions and tests simultaneously. Varies by business unit. Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, related field or equivalent experience, advance degree preferred Minimum of two years proven marketing, direct marketing or market research/database marketing experience or equivalent, including knowledge of database marketing business practices and procedures, and experience development of marketing support materials Financial Services or related industry background strongly preferred, advanced degree may substitute for some required experience Strong organizational, problem solving, project and process management skills; strong written and oral communication skills Demonstrated ability to work with technical and creative concepts Proficiency with personal computers as well as well as pertinent mainframe systems and software packages HSBC is a pay for performance company with policies and programs designed to ensure all employees receive fair and equitable compensation based on performance.
